We have big news!!! The Junior Master Gardener program is MOVING!!!

We had great response from our survey, and you spoke... loud and clear! As a result, we have big changes in store!

New Location

The Wake JMG program will be moving our meetings for the 2016/2017 program year to the JC Raulston Arboretum. The address is 4415 Beryl Road, Raleigh, NC 27606.

To access directions to JCRA are available from the jcra.ncsu.edu website

New Date and Time

We will also begin meeting at a new time and new day of the month. Our meetings at the JCRA will be on the THIRD Thursday each month starting in September and will start promptly at 6 PM.

 

We want to thank everyone for taking the time to express their support for the JMG program. We look forward to seeing you in September!!

 

The Wake County Junior Master Gardeners (a.k.a the Wake County 4-H Horticulture Club) was founded nearly thirty years ago and is one of the best such clubs in the United States. Working collaboratively with the Cooperative Extension's Master Gardener Volunteers, the Wake County Junior Master Gardeners (JMG) offer youth aged 3 through 18 a rich selection of educational and developmental offerings.

JMG Mission
To grow good kids by igniting a passion for learning, success and service through a unique gardening education.

All JMG curricula include

  • independent and group learning experiences
  • life/skill and career exploration
  • service learning opportunities for youth
  • correlation to state teaching standards

JMG requests a voluntary donation of $10 per student, or $25 per family during the annual registration process.
